Google Business Profile setup, so people nearby can find you

When someone nearby searches for what you do, Google shows a map and a short list of businesses before it shows a single website. Your Google Business Profile is what gets you onto that map. We set it up properly, in your own Google account so it stays yours: the right categories, your hours and services, real photos, and a simple way for customers to leave you a review.

What you get

A profile in your name
Created in, or brought back into, your own Google account. We are added as a manager so we can do the work, and you can remove us with one click.
Every section filled in properly
The categories that match what people actually search for, your services or menu, opening hours including holidays, your contact details and the links that matter.
Photos of the real business
Your premises, your work or your food, and your team if they agree to it. Real photos, because people can tell, and Google can too.
A simple way to get reviews
A review link and a QR code for the counter, receipts and invoices. Recent, genuine reviews are one of the biggest reasons one business shows up in the map ahead of another.
Help with Google's checks
Verification, and anything else Google asks for along the way, so the profile actually goes live rather than sitting half finished.

Process

How it works

  1. Where you stand now

We search for your business the way a customer would, and find out whether a profile already exists, who controls it and what is missing.

  2. Claimed or created

If a profile already exists, we help you bring it into your own Google account. If not, we create one there. Either way the business owns it, never us.

  3. Completed in full

Categories, description, opening hours, services or menu, the details customers check before they visit, links to your website and social media, and real photos.

  4. Verified by Google

Google checks the business is real before the profile goes live, usually with a short video of the premises. We walk you through it, and Google decides how long it takes.

  5. Reviews from day one

A direct review link and a printable QR code, so asking every customer for a review takes seconds rather than a long explanation.

Who this is for

Right for you if

Any business that serves customers locally, whether people come to you or you go to them. You have no profile yet, one that was never finished, or one somebody else set up years ago that nobody can get into.

Probably not us if

You want a guaranteed place in the map results. Nobody can promise that, and we will not. Or you want fake reviews, or reviews you pay or reward people for. They break Google's rules and UK law, and we never write, buy or ask for them.

Setting your profile up is £110, one off. Keeping it current afterwards, with posts and new photos, is part of our Care+ and Partner website maintenance plans, or can be quoted on its own. See the full pricing

Why the profile matters

For a local search, such as “cafe near me” or “electrician Wolverhampton”, Google usually shows a map and a short list of businesses first. That list comes from Google Business Profiles, not from websites. A business with a complete profile, real photos and recent reviews gives Google, and the customer, every reason to pick it.

A profile is free. What costs businesses work is a profile that was never finished, has the wrong category, shows last year’s opening hours, or belongs to somebody who no longer works there.

If someone else set it up

This happens more often than you would think: a previous designer, a family member or an old member of staff set the profile up, and nobody can sign in to it now. Google has a process for this. We request ownership with you through Google, and the current owner is asked to reply. Google’s own help pages give them three days, and if they do not answer, you may be able to claim the profile yourself. How long it takes is up to Google, but we handle the requests and follow them up.

We never set up a second profile alongside an old one. Two profiles for one business confuse Google and your customers, so we sort out the one that exists first.

Being straight about rankings

Nobody can promise you a place in the map results, us included. Google decides, it changes how it does that often, and your competitors get a say too. What we can do is make sure your profile is complete, correct and verified, and give you a simple way to collect the reviews that make the biggest difference.

After the setup

A profile works best when it stays current: new photos, posts about offers and events, and replies to reviews. That is part of our website maintenance plans on Care+ and Partner, or we can quote for it on its own. The profile is also the first part of our local SEO work in Wolverhampton, which takes in your website, your listings and your reviews as well. If you do not have a website yet, your profile can still bring in calls and visits on its own, and when you do get a website, the two link to each other.

We work face to face across Wolverhampton, Bilston, Wednesfield, Willenhall, Walsall, Dudley, Cannock, Telford, Stafford and Birmingham, and remotely with businesses anywhere in England. Most of it happens over email and video either way, so where you are matters less than whether we are the right fit. How a build actually runs

Tell us what you need

Tell us what you do and what you want to change, and we will come back with something useful. We read every enquiry ourselves. We reply within one working day.

Boxes marked are needed. The rest are optional.

What is it about? tick anything that applies

We use your details to reply to your enquiry, prepare your free concept and quote for the work. We do not sell them or use them for marketing, and we only share them with the services that run our business. The one exception is the optional box about Google adverts: if you tick it, Google gets only what the box describes, never your name, email, phone number or message. Privacy policy
